In this way, access is not only quick but is also guaranteed only for authorised visitors, providing a maximum level of security against undesirable intrusions.

Not only is it good sense to ensure the proper closure of fixtures, it is also laid down by the regulations: if it becomes clear after a break-in that doors and windows were not adequately locked, the insurance cover may be at risk.
